About Yeonhui-dong, Seoul 🤍

Yeonhui-dong is a quiet and charming neighborhood located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
Unlike busy tourist areas such as Hongdae or Myeongdong, Yeonhui-dong has a slower and more relaxed atmosphere that many locals love.

The neighborhood is known for its cozy cafes, small independent shops, vintage stores, stationery boutiques, and hidden restaurants.
Walking through the streets feels peaceful, with tree-lined roads, low-rise buildings, and creative spaces tucked into small alleys.

Many artists, designers, and cafe owners have created unique spaces in Yeonhui-dong, giving the area a warm and artistic mood.
It’s the perfect place for people who enjoy slow travel, cafe hopping, and discovering local hidden gems.

One of the best things about Yeonhui-dong is that most places are within walking distance.
You can spend an entire day exploring brunch cafes, design shops, bookstores, craft stores, and coffee spots without feeling rushed.

Compared to more crowded areas in Seoul, Yeonhui-dong feels quieter, more local, and more personal.
That’s why many people visit when they want a relaxing day away from the fast pace of the city.

If you want to experience a creative and peaceful side of Seoul, Yeonhui-dong is definitely worth visiting

Yeonhui-dong is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Seoul for a slow and peaceful day.
Unlike the busy city center, this area feels calm, creative, and full of hidden gems.

Here’s the perfect one-day course if you enjoy cozy cafes, stationery shops, vintage vibes, and good coffee 🤍

📍 Suggested Walking Route in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul
Most of the places are within walking distance, making this itinerary perfect for a relaxing day trip.

1. Staylow — A Cozy Brunch Spot 🥐

📍 57 Yeonhui-ro 11gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Tue–Fri 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
⏰ Sat–Sun 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
❌ Closed on Mondays

I started the day with brunch at Staylow, a warm and quiet cafe with a beautiful interior.

The soft sunlight, wooden furniture, and calm atmosphere made it the perfect place to begin the morning slowly.
If you visit in the morning, the mood feels especially cozy and relaxing.

2. Banul Story Yeonhui — A Knitting Lover’s Paradise 🧶

📍 15 Yeonhui-ro 11ga-gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Daily 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Banul Story is a famous knitting and DIY shop filled with colorful yarns and craft supplies.

Even if you don’t knit, it’s fun to look around because everything is beautifully displayed.
The whole place feels creative and comforting.

3. A-Land Yeonhui — Fashion & Lifestyle Shop 👕✨

📍 42 Yeonhui-ro 11gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Daily 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

A-Land Yeonhui is a stylish select shop with clothes, accessories, and lifestyle items.

The store has a trendy but relaxed atmosphere that matches Yeonhui-dong perfectly.
It’s a great place to browse around even if you’re not planning to shop.

4. ODOM yeonhui— Design Goods and Stationery ✏️💌

📍 41 Yeonhui-ro 11gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Daily 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM

ODOM by Green Design Works and Audio M are located together in the same space.

This was one of the most charming stops of the day.
There were cute stationery items, postcards, stickers, and design goods everywhere.

The shop had a calm artistic vibe, and I could easily spend an hour just looking around.

If you love journaling, paper goods, or small creative items, you’ll definitely enjoy this place.

5. Himeji 2nd Branch — Japanese Curry Lunch 🍛

📍 41 Yeonhui-ro 11gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Weekdays 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
⏰ Weekends 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
❌ Closed on Wednesdays
📞 +82-2-334-9245

For lunch, I visited Himeji, a well-known Japanese curry restaurant in Yeonhui-dong.

The curry was rich, warm, and comforting — perfect after walking around the neighborhood.
Their katsu curry is especially popular and very satisfying.

6. Manufact Coffee Yeonhui — Coffee Lover’s Spot ☕

📍 29 Yeonhui-ro 11gil, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
⏰ Daily 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
⏰ Last Order 6:00 PM

To end the day, I stopped by Manufact Coffee, one of the most famous coffee spots in Yeonhui-dong.

The coffee itself was excellent with a deep and balanced flavor.
However, the cafe is relatively small, and there aren’t many dessert options available.

It feels more like a place to enjoy quality coffee quietly rather than spending a long time working or relaxing.

Still, if you truly enjoy coffee, it’s definitely worth visiting.

Final Thoughts 🤍

Yeonhui-dong is the kind of neighborhood where simply walking around feels healing.

This course was a perfect mix of brunch, shopping, design shops, comfort food, and coffee — all within walking distance.

If you’re visiting Seoul and want to experience a slower and more creative side of the city, I highly recommend spending a day in Yeonhui-dong ✨
