Cappy sits in a quiet residential pocket near the forest park, and it’s a good example of what I’d call a neighborhood sanctuary — it isn’t chasing trends, just offering a warm, consistent, comfortable space for people who like the quieter side of Seoul. The moment I saw the soft light glowing through the windows from the street, I knew I’d found somewhere worth sitting down.

Cappy sells its own beans alongside coffee from Prologue, a Danish specialty roaster — a nice detail if you’re the type to bring beans home from a trip. The latte was soft and genuinely well-made, and if you’re after a reliable cup in a space that feels like a warm hug, this is a solid stop.

The building itself makes clever use of the site’s terrain, with a small staircase tucked beside the café that turns out to be part of the interior rather than a separate exterior stair. The floor and walls are kept close in tone, which gives the whole room a sense of unity — and raising the ceiling height keeps the small footprint from ever feeling cramped. On a warm day, the space outside looks like a nice spot to sit with a coffee too.
