A place I found while looking for somewhere to spend a cool day this summer without traveling far.
It’s Hyundai Premium Outlet Space1 in Namyangju.

The biggest advantage of this place is that, thanks to its spacious and comfortable indoor space, you can spend time here at ease, away from the midsummer heat.
Compared to other malls, there are more resting spaces where you can sit indoors and in the outdoor garden, as well as more things to look at, so it feels more comfortable and suitable for staying a long time.
You can walk slowly, look around at various brands, and take care of meals and coffee all in one place.

It’s a large outdoor space, but today, to avoid the sun, I went straight to the first-floor food court.

This place has a sensory space with plants, so it’s also a good place to rest for a moment in the middle of shopping.
(However, on weekends there are always a lot of people, and it’s often fully seated.)

A big advantage is that even on a hot day like this, they can play regardless of the weather.

The best space at Hyundai Premium Outlet SPACE1 is —
the “Jaime Hayon” garden.
This space is filled with the playful and imaginative design unique to the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon — an indoor garden where colorful objects and plants come together.

It’s a space where various sculptures and plants come together, so if you visit with kids, it’s good both for taking photos and for resting for a while.

The plant-filled indoor garden is a really good space to zone out in a green environment.
Space1 is comfortable on the eyes because there are plants throughout the indoor space.
It’s not just a mall with air conditioning — with green plants added, even sitting there for a moment feels like resting.
It’s also a good place to visit with a dog, so it’s a space every member of the family can enjoy.
Traveling far away is nice, but sometimes staying cool and enjoying a space nearby seems like a good way to spend the summer too.
Rather than a simple shopping space, Space1 feels more like a complex cultural space.
If you want to escape the heat in Namyangju, I’d suggest visiting Hyundai Premium Outlet Space1.
But on weekends, there might be really, really many people!
